Springtime Smoothie

Spring has sprung and that means it’s time to put away the chunky sweaters and pull out those running shoes. Spring is a time when the sun starts shining and the flowers start blooming giving us all the more reason to spend more time being active outside. Some great ways to take advantage of this beautiful season are: hiking, running, swimming, walking, and playing sports outdoors. All the beauty and warm weather around us gives us that extra motivation to get up and get out. The weekend is just around the corner and my favorite way to start my Saturday is with a delicious detoxifying smoothie and a nice long hike with my puppy Louie. My current obsession is this Apple Cider Vinegar Green Smoothie:

Ingredients:
½ medium apple
½ medium ripe pear
1 medium cucumber
¾ cup chopped kale
½ lemon, seeds removed
½ avocado
2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar

Instructions:
Chop the apple, pear, and cucumber then blend all ingredients together until smooth; you can add water as needed to thin the texture.

Some benefits of incorporating Apple Cider Vinger in your smoothie:
