Banana, she is more than just a sweet, velvety lady in a yellow jacket, she is actually filled with tons healthful benefits. Bananas contain high levels of potassium, a mineral electrolyte, and pectin, which is a form of fiber. Bananas are high in antioxidants, which can provide protection from free radicals. Bananas are known to reduce swelling, protect against developing type-2 diabetes, aid in weight loss, strengthen the nervous system and help with production of white blood cells, all due to the high level of vitamin B6 that bananas contain. So yeah, bananas are a pretty sweet deal.

And then there is almond butter.. our silky, smooth friend. Almonds are among the most nutrient dense nuts which means these little guys are super rich in vitamins and minerals. They are high in calcium and copper which helps with brain communication and the nervous system. They are also high in magnesium and vitamin E which aids in bone support and energy storage. It is also no secret that nuts are rich in healthy fats. Almonds are made up primarily of unsaturated fatty acids. These fats improve your blood cholesterol levels to combat cardiovascular disease, and also provide energy.

So what happens when you combine banana and almond butter throw it in the oven and top it with cinnamon. We'll my friends you end up with one tasty, healthy dessert packed with loads of vitamins and minerals. So, yeah this is kind of a good reason to go a little bananas.
